Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe have been coming to la pergola every time we come to Calabria which is every few years. We came again this year and enjoyed our experiences. We have never had a meal there but the coffees and cakes are delicious and their pre dinner aperitifs are good value as they are served with little hor d'orves all within a nice setting In summer it's actually open 24/7
When in the area, my wife and I go to La Pergola every Sunday morning. Fall, winter, and spring we enjoy their great pastries and cappuccino. In the summer, their granita and brioche can't be beat.
This small cafe on the Main Street in Santa Caterina dello ionio has the absolute best gelato. The flavor put out by their Nocciola (hazelnut) is stronger and more delicious than all the others I 've tried. You can order it drowned in baileys if you 're feeling adventurous. Another little known secret is this is one of the only cafes that makes their own pastries right down the street. I fell in love with the cornetti and ate them almost every day for breakfast. When you try them you 'll know why la pergola is the best around. Don 't forget to look up at the bunches of red and white grapes while you 're eating. There 's an enormous grape vine that has been growing across la pergola for what seems like hundreds of years.
I spent every night of my vacation before bedtime.
A characteristic place, beautiful aesthetically and very well maintained. I didn't get to taste their products, like desserts, granite, croissants etc...but there were two times to eat their ice cream! Exceptional! If you pass by badolato, stop at the pergola and taste it!
