This place truly satisfies your cravings—everything from land and sea is masterfully combined with global flavors to create unforgettable dishes. Sam Spector, the owner, has done an outstanding job with the menu, and that dedication is reflected in his staff, who take great pride in the food they serve. In February 2014, Sam relocated from the original cozy spot on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles to a more spacious and vibrant location within the AO retail/residential building on Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica. The new venue features two large dining rooms filled with bright colors and an expanded kitchen, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The taco, a quintessential element of Mexican cuisine, has evolved into a medium for delivering an array of foods and flavors from around the globe. Sam Spector recognized the opportunity to highlight international cuisine that would tantalize the taste buds of eager food enthusiasts. Regardless of what you're in the mood for, Mondo Taco has something for everyone, offering a diverse, tapas-style dining experience that spans worldwide flavors. Given that Los Angeles is a melting pot of cultures, the ingredients necessary to create these diverse tastes are readily available in one kitchen. With three decades of experience in the restaurant industry, Sam launched his brainchild, Mondo Taco, on July 23, 2012.
