Monsieur Marcel - Santa Monica

Phenomenal!! We are staying in Santa Monica from out of town and this was an awesome find while exploring the stores. We stopped here twice for a snack and wine and we were not disappointed. Great service and amazing food!

Lunch was delicious, and the restaurant is located in the middle of the walking mall, which is great for people watching.

Monsieur Marcel's is a great spot for affordable French cuisine on the Third Street Promenade. It's a fun place to have dinner and people watch in downtown Santa Monica. The staff is courteous, professional and I was surprised that almost everyone who served us was a native French speaker. Favorite dish? Of course, the escargots with olive oil and basil. Each table will also receive a complimentary bread basket with butter.

Best I've had on Third Street. Prompt service, great people watching, thoughtful food. It's slightly more pricey than the cheap places on the promenade, but for that you get the best fries I've had in LA, ripe fruit, generously balanced combinations, and a well designed meal. One complaint: the menu design needs work. It doesn't mention sides, but everything comes with one

Amazing french food and service ! Tuna tartare is the best I have ever tasted and french pastry 'mille feuilles ' delicious. the new French waiter is very nice ! I come back next week ! !! Thanks
