Piquio - Santander

This is a great restaurant situated in the wonderful resort of Sardinero. We very much enjoyed our meal and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The server only spoke Spanish however he tried to understand our hand signals and English the food was delicious, the service good and the price very reasonable. We returned several times during our trip.

Staying at the Hotel Gran Sardinero nearby we came upon this bar and restaurant by chance. The service was good, the food most acceptable if somewhat limited. I recommend the Paella which is only served for two but which is a healthy portion and very tasty. The drink was cheap and tasty.

Tables outside but its 2 flights up to a very nice rest,overlooking a busy street,menu of the day was excellent value with 2 courses each,inc.bread water/wine for 20euros I had chicken salad topped with fresh berries -very refreshing followed by shredded meat with eggs fries hubby chose carbonara to start then pork in a red wine sauce, everything was freshly cooked and served very promptly. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is located on a very good location in Sardinero, so I go there with my quite frequently, the daily menu is very inexpensive, drinks are very good. Will be back again this summer Cheers
