Albergo San Lorenzo

We found ourselves at the locality of Santo Stefano d’Aveto to visit the house of Santa Claus and then we had lunch in the restaurant San Lorenzo... possibility of posting, reception very friendly and we ordered the cutters made in the house very good and the meat also excellent, to finish tiramisù at the pistachio of the house and meringue with chocolate. All very good and reasonable prices, there is also a room to make children play, what nn recently!! !

The hotel restaurant S. Lorenzo is located on the road to the Rocca, a short walk from the Hotel Si.Va. It has a large hall with window on the valley. Very rich wines and menus, to be a restaurant/ trattoria. Appetizer: classic fried dumpling (sgonfiotti) fried very well and light. First dishes: abundant portions of green pappardelle with various seasonings, revisited ravioli; recommended the vegetable soup and especially the pious (like dumplings with beans and garlic sauce) when in the menu. Seconds: they range from the tunaed calf and roastbeef (buoni), wild boar, steaks. Desserts: excellent spoon cakes, ice cream and cakes. However organized kitchen, therefore to reward the value for money.

Typical Ligurian welcome. Delayed by business reasons we reach the restaurant at 20.25, of course after having booked. “Cucine closed, too late”. We note that late was not, vainly: “It’s 20.25” “No!!!It’s 20.30 past” the lady answers, looking pleased a wall clock. It sounds like a novel, but it's the sad truth. In short, we find ourselves without a chance to dine, with all the other restaurants in the country closed. Not a word of apology. And this, although there were still people sitting at the table. An absolutely unacceptable treatment, which prompts me to recommend to anyone to stay away from this place. Trade is a service. Never see us again
