Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy trip was off season. We are a group of astronomy enthusiast from Mimbai and always in search of good sky gazing experience. Couple of years back, I visited Kaas plateau for flowers and stopped here for lunch. Ample place in front (as seen in photo), absence of street lights and other light source around was perfect environment for peaceful skywatch. So we booked for 17-18-19 November of 2017 coinciding with new moon night. Owner Mr.Somnath Jadhav was extremely co-operative and helpful during booking. In fact, he used to call and update me about sky condition before our visit. Decent rooms, clean bathrooms with hot water round the clock. We had a spectacular skywatching experience. Hotel owner allowed us switch of all the nights to help us study sky. Food was typical maharashtrian style and sumptuous. We have vegetarians and non vegetarians in group and everybody loved the food. The place is worth visiting with family/friends.
While returning from Bamnoli, we stopped here for lunch. The restaurent is big, airy and clean. Food was very tasty not too spicy, service was good, price was average. I believe they serve food on their terrace in the evening, that should be awsome with nice view of Kas plateau.
We booked at the Sahyadri Pushpa for 1 night to see the Flowers in the last week of August. Unfortunately the flowers had not bloomed as yet. The hotel is a budget hotel but the rooms on the first floor are clean. The rooms are small and non A/C . It is recommended to carry your own towels and blankets. The food is good and quite cheap. The owner is extremely friendly and was very happy to show us around.
Nestled within verdant greenery and providing a panoramic view of the mountains, this place situated on the Satara Kaas road is famous for its chicken curry. The vegetarian dishes are no less tasty. I took my lunch break here on my way back from Kaas Bamnoli. It is a spartan place and service may take about half an hour, but the tasty food makes up for it.
Their Chicken Thali is a food connoisseurs delight ,the best i have personally eaten in years.Remember i have eaten chicken in various Country 's let alone Indian city 's and hence my comment does have some authority. Now i realize the reasons for a cockerel 's poster and clourful flags akin to a Star Hotel being the main advertisements on the main road for this externally shabby looking hotel.Yes, according to me they do cook the best chicken dishes in Satara. As for the vegetarian cuisine of this hotel, you will have to ask the vegetarians since i am unfamiliar with Vegetarian cuisine.
