Taverna Rossa - Saugatuck

We were there for nye, what happened, the last day they were open until March. the food was excellent and the service was fantastic! the crispy artichoke is a must! I had the atlantic cod saltimboca and my bf had the act with scallops. both dishes were delicious. will be back!

Great eating, really nice staff. we went randomly to a snow-covered night in December, so there were only 2, maybe 3 tables in the restaurant, but that was excellent and the few coworkers there were great to chat. we're going back, sure.

Extremely great experience here! could not recommend it anymore! the pasta was great, but the chicken dish was really the most incredible thing we had. really a hidden gem!

Everything was great. The staff was super attentive and provided us with great service. Food was excellent as well. Rigatoni and Spinach Pies were our favorite.

The snowstorm that was expected obviously impacted how many diners there were. There were only about 5 tables being used so the usual energy wasn’t there. The food was not as good as usual which was surprising. It was just ok, a but bland actually. Every other time we have been here the food was excellent. We had the crispy artichokes as an app that there were awesome as always. The bolognese seemed to be missing something as did the spaghetti, which also had a sauce that was a bit watery which is not normal and was also a bit bland. The dinks were just ok as well and when the bartender made the cosmo he only shook it a couple times which couldn’t get the drink very cold and it is exactly how it tasted, flabby because it was not really cold. My drink was just ok as well. A bit disappointed in this experience, especially since it wasn’t busy and there was no reason at all to rush even making a drink and shaking it twice only. Need to up the game again and take service seriously. We will def give them another chance though as we have been very pleased coming here previously.
