Avaliação da contribuiçãoJose's is an awesome restaurant! So many delicious choices. Try the cheese dip! I had the LP burrito and could only take a picture of half of it because I had already taken a few bites out of it. The beef is super tasty. My wife had a margarita andsaid it wasn't that strong. The prices are low and portions are big. Free chips and salsa when you enter. Wait staff was veryfriendly and professional. When we arrived it was busy but they quickly got us seated. Highly recommended!
This is a family run restaurant and they do a great job. Mexican food can be hard to satisfy some people's tastes but this has good flavor and is reasonably authentic. They use good ingredients and they use care in putting their dishes together. Theservice was quick and very friendly. The decor of the restaurant was decent. Their food is very comparable in quality to some ofthe better places you will find in Mexican Town in Detroit. We have nothing like this in Canada. Please support this finerestaurant. The people in Soo Canada really have a treasure right across the river from them. Enjoy it. It was lovely.
Ordered Jose's for take out for Father's Day, as I miss good Mexican food. Unfortunately, this is supposed to be a ground beef Classica Chimichanga. There is no ground beef and for some reason there is corn in it which is not in the description.Unfortunately we're half an hour away, so will not take the same chance with Jose's next time.
We headed downtown Soo on a Sunday for dinner out, but a lot of restaurants were closed including the Palace which I was craving Mexican cuisine. Stumbled across Jose's during online search SO happy we tried it! Food was very good, the service wasexceptional and the portions and prices actually made me feel guilty that I was paying so little for so much. Mostly I loved theatmosphere! So much more relaxing and family friendly than the Palace. We will definitely be going back!
Jose?s food is 4 or 5 stars and the prices are reasonable, but it isn?t the Mexican food most folks are familiar with and service and decor could use some work. The food is very good, but pretty basic for the most part closer to authentic Mexicanfood. The chips and salsa were very good and quickly refilled. Do NOT ask for the mild salsa; it wasn?t good and I wouldn?teven call it salsa, almost a marinara sauce. The regular salsa was outstanding. The nachos was cheese and meat on chips, notwhat I or anyone else expected. The burritos and the Acapulco cheese steak (a burrito) were great; rice and beans are rice andbeans. Our server was nice and friendly, but not great. A request for a glass to drink beee from wasn?t delivered until afterthe bottle was almost consumed. A chicken burrito was a beef burrito when it got to the table. And the server never came back tocheck on us, though he was very responsive when we signaled to him. The check was dropped off at the table, but we were left tofigure out that you pay on the way out. Parking is plentiful and the building is in good shape, but it?s an old Studebaker?srestaurant you can tell if you look around not a lot has been done to make it into Jose?s. Good food, cold beer and friendlystaff deserve a visit, but be prepared.
