It was a Friday night, so it was a bit more crowded than in the week....We decided we could just go back to our hotel and have cocktails there. But when we drove out of town, we heard a great music coming from somewhere. We followed him. Oil We pulled over, found a door with stairs up and ended at this big little bar. We sat, had cocktails, listed in the live band and could not be pleased to have found this little place. The staff was so friendly, the Vib was funny, and we really enjoyed the band. At the next visit to Sayulita we will be back!
Best Bar in Sayulita! I spent my whole week here. Great cocktails, the live music is amazing every night and the staff is super friendly!!
We stayed elsewhere but came to Chillum the 2nd night when we heard great live music coming from the street. We ended up coming here for drinks and food almost every night of our trip because of the chill vibes and great food. We also...did surf lessons 2 days with the owner Corey who was an awesome host and taught us more about surfing than I’ve ever known, more than just thinking you know how to surf but how to read waves and actually surf aswell as being an awsome guy and entertaining host. All in all this place made our week long trip and I would recommend this place to anyone whether your taking a surf lesson or just looking for a chill place to hangout and meet some cool people.
Walking through town we heard some excellent jazz being played live and looked around to see where it was coming from. Turns our it was coming from a multi faceted restaurant/bar/hotel on the second floor of this interesting establishment. This is almost Sayulita's one stop...shop. They offer a wide variety of outdoor adventures (surfing, hiking, spear fishing and much more), they have a couple of rooms for rent, a bar and a restaurant. This is a small place with only a few tables but the vibe is great. The bar staff and the wait staff were super and treated us like friends. The food is sushi with rolls and individual sushi treats along with miso soup and Asian flavored salads, edamame, and other Japanese inspired offerings. The afternoon we were there we sat at a table and listen to live jazz played by Jazz Guitar Master Juny Sanchez and his partner playing the keyboard and the trumpet. Really nice light jazz...and very dancable. This is a small place with a big welcoming heart. Give it a try if you are looking for good affordable food, nice live music or check out there reasonably priced outdoor adventures...their prices seem to be about 60 to 70% the cost of other business offering similar activities. And don't miss the live music!
