Connaught Chinese - Scone Australia

This is a classic Australian Chinese restaurant. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious with generous portions. Gary and Susannah Ma have owned the place for over 30 years and have always been great members of the community. I really enjoy dining there and having a chat with them!

Always a great place to eat; it’s my personal favorite in town. Like any restaurant, it can have off nights, but most of the time, everything is just right. The staff is friendly, and the service is polite.

This charming Chinese restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere and is family-run, offering polite and friendly service. The meals are authentic, generously portioned, and provide great value. I particularly enjoyed the combination Canton chow mein, which featured stir-fried tender beef, chicken, roast pork, and prawns, all tossed with carrots, cabbage, beans, and onions in thin noodles with a special sauce.

This looks just like a typical country town Chinese restaurant, with the design and decore we've all seen many times in many places. However, some things set it apart. There is fast and friendly service, with freshly prepared food available in almost no time. And the food! It is delicious. There is a good variety on the menu and it is authentic. The location on the main street, which is the New England highway, can be a problem for parking at times of heavy traffic. But if you enjoy Chinese food, trust me, it's worth a little walk if you need to.
