Grill House The - Scott City

Waited a hour and a half to get food(there was 3 other people there) and when it did come out the forgot the shrimp and green beans for the grill house special. Then, the steak I ordered was supposed to me medium well and came out well done, the server then says “we get that a lot.” So why haven’t you talked to the chef or whoever is back there and asked why he’s cooking food wrong so often. $33 for trash, unbelievable. I ended up eating here as business brought me to Scott City. While there are not a ton of options in town, if you're a fan of greasy spoon dinners, The Grill House is for you. Food is priced very reasonably and everything I've ordered has been made to order and as good as anywhere else. The atmosphere is a little lacking, but it has that charm that only little dinner type restaurants have; So if you're hoping for ambiance, look elsewhere. If you're looking for some hash browns and pancakes or a hamburger at 6pm after work, you can't go wrong.

Young waiters need some training, but nice and try hard. Good food.

Just a small cafe-type restaurant next to a laundry mat and we weren't too sure of the place. However, the food was very good, and service was excellent , server very helpful and attentive. ribeye steak was very good and shrimp were excellent. Atmosphere is so-so but good food overcame that. A little pricey for this type restaurant but still very good .
