Fei Wong - Scottish Borders

Having become disenchanted with our normal chinese we tried Fei Wong on a friends recommendation. We were not disappointed......having been for a carry out about eitght times now we have found it to be consistently good.

We were visiting the area, not locals. Ordered a takeaway by telephone, it was ready when we arrived. The food order was correct and the food was absolutely fine. We had satay beef, beef and black bean sauce, Singapore noodles and sweet and sour chicken. Fried rice, Chips and prawn crackers. All decent quality, no better or worse than you can get at your own local favourite Chinese type takeaway. Prices were also ok. I would personally use it again if I was in the area.

Lovely food and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced too. Don't have to wait too long to pick up if telephoning.

We get a delivery from fei wong fairly regularly and don't usually have a problem, however tonight definitely did not live up to expectations. My son-in-law phoned at 1730 with our order, he was told it would be delivered in approximately an hour and a half. He asked for my meal without nuts as they have an immediate impact on my stomach which is very unpleasant for me. At 1930 our meal hadn't arrived so he phoned for an update and was told it would be half an hour as they hadn't started preparing it. By 2000, 2.5 hours after ordering, the meal still hadn't arrived so my husband phoned, he was told the only way to get the meal soon was to collect it so my husband and son-in-law walked to collect it. We were all exceptionally hungry by this time. My meal had nuts, in spite of the request not to include them, I took a chance and picked out chicken without nuts, however, I had to run straight to the toilet. My husband called fei wong to explain and the manager was not at interested in my problem, just said she would get a replacement meal delivered, which she did but it was really too little too late. Overall this was a terrible experience

We recently enjoyed another wonderful meal from this Chinese restaurant. They offer a variety of delicious options and the staff is always cheerful. We have been coming here for a while now, thanks to a friend's recommendation. Be sure to call ahead with your order to avoid a wait. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future.
