Avaliação da contribuiçãoWhen I lived in the Phoenix area before I really enjoyed eating at Flo?s. I was in town recently on a business trip so I found a location to eat at in Scottsdale. It?s been a while I guess because the location I recall eating at previously was in thePromenade at Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. We stopped in for lunch and I had the king pow chicken which wasquite tasty but could have been a bit spicier. Perhaps it was the scale I asked for in spiciness but otherwise it was a gooddish. It wasn?t quite as good as I remembered and the location seemed a bit dated and could use a few improvements. The staffwas friendly but it did take a little while to get things like more water and to get our check cashed out. Perhaps I just hadmemories that were a bit too fond or maybe it just isn?t as good as it once was. I?d really like to give 3.5 stars but I don?tfeel it?s right to give only 3 stars. It?s a pretty good Asian place overall but could be a bit better.
I have never had a better hot and sour soup than I had this afternoon. Enough for three people, it is a steal for only $10 and had just the right amount of sour and a hearty cilantro backend. The spring rolls were so fresh they melted, and the beef andbroccoli was simply amazing. Apparently they have been here for 25 years, and they stand out as about the best Chinese food inthe valley I've come across. The waitstaff is outgoing, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring about your enjoyment of the meal.
Disappointed. I've been loyal customer until today Yesterday I made take out order. My usual salt n pepper chicken wings. They were tasteless, greasy n frankly seemed old. I could tell they were not done the same way because the veggies were done toolarge and had no flavor. My 2nd Order was shrimp fried rice. Not what it used to be. Shrimp salty and the rice was the regularsticky white rice. Orange chicken tasted like any frozen packaged nugget. No Asian flavor and too greasy. When I called today tolet them I was abruptly hung up on. I was hoping they would be interested in checking their kitchen to make sure the recipeswere up to previous standards. But they could care less. To the employee that hung up on me, let me say customers return becausethey want the same dishes they enjoyed before. If you don't honor that there is no reason to return. So, I for one will notreturn I also picked up dish for my neighbor who is moving and I wanted to keep her from having to go out for something. Sheremarked that they have not been the same for some time. So, there it is. Sorry Flo. I know you always showed more care for us.But your current employees aren't the same.
Flos had excellent service and an excellent menu. However; rating this 2 stars because of the overall flavors and value. For example,We paid $10 for an appetizer of pot stickers for our table of 4, and received exactly 4 pot stickers? The price to valueand flavor of the food makes it hard for us to warrant returning. Again, everything was pretty good or okay/decent but nothinghad quite the wow factor we were hoping for at such a high price point.
Updating review from 5 to 2 stars to reflect current state of the restaurant. Very disappointed. This was our favorite Asian restaurant. My girlfriend has been visiting for over 15 years and 6+ for me. Unfortunately the quality has gone down so much inthe past few years we have given up. Can?t justify to keep giving them another chance when the prices keep increasing. Myfavorite dishes like the House Chicken have changed to use lower quality ingredients like boneless nuggets. My gf loved theorange tofu and other vegan options but sadly they have changed their recipes leaving very few vegan options. Our gluten freefriends don?t trust it either after getting sick from a ?gluten free? sauce. Here?s to hoping they turn things around.Unfortunately we likely won?t be there to try.
