Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy husband and I recently came here for his birthday. We went to Spain for our honeymoon in May so we were looking for a restaurant at home that could satisfy our cravings for our favorite Spanish foods. The fried calamari (Rabas) was a 10/10. My husband said it might've been better than in Spain !! We also ordered Gambas al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, and the Datlies con Tocino. All were excellent! For dessert we ordered the Churros con Chocolate. They were Mexican style churros and tasty. We will most definitely be back!!
The food was average. We had very pasty ham and cheese croquetas, bacon-wrapped dates that did not need to be filled with goat cheese, manchego, Serrano ham, beef tenderloin, and roasted red peppers. Several tapa were coated in an aioli that really detracted from the taste of the ingredients. The service was mediocre. We had to ask for several dishes that never came, we got the check before our dessert, and the inattentive waiter brought us the wrong check. What really tainted the meal was when a manager asked us to leave after 70 minutes (while we were still eating dessert) because they needed our table for a large group that forgot to make a reservation. There are plenty of other restaurants are nearby. Better to try one of them.
This place was awesome first time I had a seafood paella. The food was fresh and lots of flavor
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. When you add in the location on the canal it’s a perfect combo.
My friend and I recently visited Tapas Papa Frita. The indoor part of the restaurant is beautiful, and the patio on which we dined had a nice vibe with a great 2nd story view of Scottsdale's water front and plentiful trees. Our server was friendly and efficient. Frita's menu is one of the most extensive I've ever seen. My friend ordered the Paella De Pollo dish. Its flavors were well rounded with a hint of spice. I was grateful he shared some with me because it was the best part of the meal. I had Calimero and Red Pepper Humus. I knew I should have asked my server about the Calimero before ordering, which I didn't. My bad. I was expecting more of Calimari dish. Mine was a large piece of squid that was very fresh. But the presentation of the dish and its flavor were somewhat dull. My humus was also a bit disappointing. The chips weren't crisp as I prefer and the humus lacked spice. I would love to return with a group of people so we could order a larger variety of food. That would be a great experience!
