Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis food was so amazing! I ate not so great food the day before and I was hoping to make up for it. This place surpassed my expectations. We were seated quickly and the staff was so friendly. We ordered ginger chicken, wings, sushi, pork chops, shrimptoast cornbread and Mac and cheese. I can't say what my favorite was because it was all so great.
I see why this place is always booked! The food was amazing! We started off with the 'hood sushi ' which is super delicious and creamy, the catfish wasn 't too overwhelming and balanced out the rest of the roll. The dipping sauce on the side complements thedish well. The Bayou Teche, which is an eggplant dish, was exceptional! If your budget isn 't too flexible, I recommend sharingthe dish. This place has pescatarian and vegetarian dishes, which is great for those with these dietary preferences. The drinksare well made and incorporate Black owned spirits! If you are able to get a reservation at Communion it is definitely worth it!
I was so excited to eat here. we managed to get through the walk in the waiting list. the ambiente was alive, but it was summer and when the windows were open, there were some gnats here and there. we ordered the fried chicken 4 5 good brot, huh was tasteful, buffalo sauce was basic mac cheese 3 5 a bit too greasy shrimp toast 3 5 the garnel part was good, but the toast was throttled in oil. I have my mouth coated with a layer. kapuze sushi 1 5 I don't know why this is so overrated. fish was inconspicuous and very little in the sushi, rest was bland. too much I know that we don't order the jambalaya or gumbo and I hope that these are more redeemed! but I felt more greasy than I was hoping. I love soul food and I know it can be fat, but it was a little too fat for the price.

Finally got a chance to visit the other week, and throughly LOVED IT! Worth the wait btw, we did the same day wait list and was able to get in for a late dinner . Overall I’d rate it a 4.5 5, but a definite recommend and repeat!Food: Shrimp toast thick and filling; a lot of bread, but still moist and very flavourful , Creole catfish our favourite, hands down , Jambalaya good flavour but oddly dry; expecting more sauce , Mac N Cheese standard; the biggest letdown of the meal , Grilled Eggplant delicious! Great Asian fusion with a sweeter fish sauce . Dessert was banana pudding to go, which was great!Drinks: bottled purplish drink was sweet but delicious. Followed that with Cherie Amour and Kinfolk. All delicious and creative, and well fitting to the food. I’ve been recommended the Good Juju endless times.
