Avaliação da contribuiçãoI have wanted to get here for years. The food was just what I hoped it would be. Crispy, juicy chicken, great texture on the waffle, side of sausage gravy- beautiful. Plus, fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese! Love. Will definitely be back. Food: 5/5
My hands down favorite breakfast spot in Seattle. Love the shrimp grits as well as the chicken waffle w/Hennessy butter.Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. You will not be disappointed
Got here just a couple mins after opening on Sat. We got a table right away but they got busy fast. Food does take a little bit but they are frying chicken so that's understandable. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes was super delicious, I got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was on point although my waffle was just a bit dryish and crumbley. Their butter and chicken made up for it though and overall it was really good. The biscuits were delicious and I ordered more to go.Would come back and give the waffles another try. Or try the chicken biscuit sandwich bc those looked amazing. The vibe and music was fun and ther servers were super kind and attentive.
Incredible! I found this spot off of a food YouTuber that sometimes has questionable suggestions. This was not the case here. I've been here twice within 2 weeks now, which should tell you everything you need to know. The fried chicken is delicious wonderfully seasoned, juicy, and crispy. I typically prefer spicy fried chicken which is not an option here, but I didn't even miss it. They do have a large variety of hot sauces if you eat there, which is very fun. The sampler platter $20) is great for a first time visit. You get so many options a main 2 sides of your choice plus biscuit, honey butter, and grits! It was a ton of food, and I could've shared and been satisfied. The red beans and rice are a must. The flavor is complex with the smoky ham but not overbearing. We've tried a few different sandwiches as well the chicken thigh sandwich is on the wet side so maybe avoid if that bothers you. I loved it though. The chicken breast sandwich is a dryer substitute and has a completely different flavor profile with pimento cheese. You could get both and not feel they are too similar. I personally didn't love the waffle, but I think they always have a short shelf life. They start getting soggy if you don't eat them immediately. The service is great. Such a friendly, neighborhood feeling place. It's awesome to see that most of the visitors are regulars. We've already decided that Fat's will be a weekly Saturday night dinner. I'll be trying the seafood sampler next!
My bf and I were waiting for our food from the Thai place next door but decided to come here to get a few appetizers. We got an order of cornbread and mac cheese, $5 each. The cornbread was dry but the mac cheese was good. I can't speak for the rest of the menu. We did come about an hour before closing and they were out of biscuits. The low rating is because of the service. When we walked in, we didn't know if it was seat yourself and order at the counter or table service. No one greeted us so we were standing for a while looking a bit confused. It was table service. The lady, whom I assume is the owner, sat us down and I think because we only ordered two side dishes, never checked up on us again. But I saw her checking up on everyone else who ordered entrees. It's a bit unfair to be treated less than just cause we didn't order a main meal. Also a different server gave us the food but he originally handed it to the table next to us. Overall the bad experience makes me not want to go back and try their chicken and waffles or chicken sandwiches.
