Avaliação da contribuiçãoI want to start by saying the service was great. The hostess barely cracked a half smile but that’s ok, I have RBF too. The server was really good, I didn’t catch his name but very nice kid. The atmosphere with the other happy servers was fun. These things are the only reason the restaurant will get a second star. The chips tasted stale, even when “fresh”. The “queso” was not queso but a queso like product. Very bland. The salsa was awful, it was chunky which I usually like but it tasted like the chunks were sitting in water instead of salsa. If that description makes sense. The tortillas came wrapped in tin foil which is usually a good sign but I opened it and the tortillas are yellow flour which I have never seen before so I was excited to try them. Lo and behold, I bite into the most store bought and weird tasting tortilla I have every tried before. It was gross. It’s fine, I am still hopeful as this restaurant serves pepsi instead of coke so I am taking this as a sign to give it a chance. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and my husband ordered flautas. The chimichanga was ordered with sour cream sauce and when I saw it, I wish I was exaggerating, it had a yellow slimy like sauce on it that was tasteless. It looked like snot. I cut it open and this chicken looks to have been boiled chicken. Not a hit of spice or seasoning could be detected. It was just chicken. Not a pepper or anything. There was no flavor! My husband’s flautas were the same. He had one chicken and one ground beef. Both lacked flavor. The potatoes looked seasoned well but they absolutely were not. They were dry and without flavor. The beans were ok. This was by far the most flavorless Tex Mex I’ve ever had. I was offered a sopapilla and I just could not do it. I couldn’t let this place ruin sopapillas for me. I was so disappointed. My husband and I had our first date night in months since we moved to the area and Mexican food is my favorite. This was a let down.
The food was sub par. It was flavorless and swimming in grease. Grease poured into my hand and down chin on my first bite of taco. Then ran down my am. There was no seasoning in the meat. I got about 3 shreds of cheese for my taco. The Chile releno was soggy with the actual chile having the only flavor to it. Then the beef enchilada.... the bland, grease soaked ground beef wrapped in a soggy tortilla. No cheese to be seen in it or on it. Before all that, came salsa with no zip at all and thin, tasteless queso. Then when paying she asked about a tip. I went to type in a dollar amount and it beeped immediately. I asked if it actually had added the tip. She said yes. Then when she handed me the ticket to sign, the tip was almost double what I tried to enter. She acted like she didn't know how to fix it. I just signed it and said I will never be back. Though the service was a little better than the food!
Chips and dips were delish. And the combo fajitas seasoned and tasty yummy!!
This was some of the best Mexican food I've ever had!
Always amazing food as well as service. They are polite and won't disturb you while you're eating and they pay attention when you need a waiter/waitress.
