Laughing Crab Cajun Seafood

The first time we visited, we weren?t too happy with the food. But this most recent time, we absolutely loved it. Our waitress was so amazing and she even went out of her way to help a table with a crying baby. The pina colda was strong. Despite it being a Sunday and it being extremely busy, our food came out quickly and it was hot. I really enjoy the pick of seasons and level of heat. Honestly, I can?t wait to go back.

This was the worst restaurant I?ve ever been too!! Service was terrible and food was plain GROSS !! I know Cajun food and the slop that they served me was not Cajun. It was covered in this thick sauce that I couldn?t even finish I made them take the stuff in the bowl back they called it gumbo ?. Nope !! Not gumbo it was like chowder and no seafood in it at all some micro shrimp. Look I?m not one to down a restaurant if it?s good it?s good and I will get my honest opinionif it?s not good I will tell you and trust me I looked all day for a Cajun restaurant and I was very very disappointing at what we ate I literally almost left three times without paying! The Only reason why I paid was to save the girl I waswith the embarrassment of walking out. !! Please save your time and money go somewhere else!! Sorry that?s the truth from a Louisiana Cajun !!

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Can?t find places like this very often in West Monroe. The items on the menu are immaculate to say the least. In terms for price, it is super fair, and their food is delicious. Would eat here again.

The Laughing Crab specializes in boiled shellfish. We had lobster, crab and shrimp. All were messy but very tasty. The dockside decor was fun and our server was attentive. I wish they had metal silverware instead of plastic. I like the casual vibe, but for a $50 dinner with crab legs to dismantle and a whole potato to eat, we'd prefer not to have to use a plastic fork. That said, most of the eating happens with your hands, protected by the plastic gloves and plastic apronthey bring you.

This place was great. The food came quickly and was very delicious. The sauce was really amazing. Nothing was over cooked and was near effortless to peel. The server was very informative on the menu and took great care of us.
