Seewirt am Thumsee - Siebenpalfen

The view on the lake and the food are great. Prices are more than correct. Can only recommend a visit

Even though they totally forgot about our order, they handled it super nice. The food was really good and the view to the lake is super nice.

Always a lovely lake to walk around and to stop by the Seewirt for coffee or a good meal. The only part I do not like is numerous bikes racing along the narrow paths endangering pets children and elderly who want to stroll around this 1.6 km lake. Definitely bikers should be banned.

… you have to pay 20 Euro for using their parking lot! I don´t know if it is like that all the time, but certainly on beautiful summer days when everybody comes to lake Thumsee for water fun (see picture . As parking is extremly limited around the place, a (Germany only sign informs potential visitors of this unusual arrangement. We went there anyway (as I wanted to take a swim, too , but found that the minimum consumation charge seems to bring about a certain disregard of the customer: the waiter asked us for our order without even offering us the menue, and was very unfriendly. Coffee was low quality, drinks OK(ish , ice cream big, but uninspired convenience stuff of a very regular quality. Think of it as ... well, the very expensive parking fee. Which was waived after a >20 € bill as promised on the sign. View from the terrace is very beautifull though. Place seems to be popular with dog owners, so expect quite a few dogs (from customers? roaming free around the lake and perimeters.

If you look for a relaxed evening in the mountains with good food and excellent atmospere you are right with this restaurant. Directly next to the lake Thumsee and in the middle of the mountains you can enjoy good food and hospitable service. Simply enjoy being you here.
