The Soup Spoon Union (paragon)

The weekday lunch set at $12.90 which comprises of a main and a soup is worth considering. Had the sweet and sour pork with fried rice melon soup, and the signature chicken rice herbal soup. Portion is just nice and served warm. Staff were attentive and helpful.

I tried their weekday individual set meal and was really impressed with both the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered their signature hometown fish belly with egg fried rice, which was made with long grain rice that was perfectly coated in egg. The fish belly was delicious as well. Oh, and did I mention that their $12.90 set meal includes a choice of double-boiled soup? I selected the waisan with ginseng root and chicken soup, and the restaurant was very generous with the ingredients. You can also enhance your experience by adding tea and dessert for just $3.90. Lastly, I must commend the service. Lye Wah attended to me and was very patient and thoughtful with her recommendations. Overall, I had a fantastic visit to Soup Restaurant Paragon.

An intriguing restaurant experience. We sampled the signature samsui chicken along with a few other dishes. This place is ideal for those with smaller appetites, as the food is served in individual portions. Although the dishes are small, they were sufficient for the three of us to share. I left lunch feeling quite satisfied. The service was also commendable.

In my opinion, the signature samsui chicken wasn't particularly impressive and probably not worth the wait. As someone who enjoys bold flavors, I much preferred the spicy tofu and sambal kangkong.
