Marlin's Family - Sioux Falls

A nice sit down family restaurant. Large portions and tastes mighty good.

Holy grease ball, not eating them hash browns every again! The pancakes were very rubbery. Food came out super quickly, I guess it was good for a working man. I asked two questions before I ordered one being if the corn beef hash was shredded beef it was not, and the other questions was if the strawberries were fresh strawberries which was also a no. Had to go for something completely different, not sure if I would eat here again, maybe go for the other kind of potatoes at the very least if you go here.

I always liked being here. However, they are still a victim of the short servants. I went to breakfast with about half a dozen of my staff. We were looking for a new monthly meeting place after Cherry Creek closed so we stopped here. The waitress warned us very seriously that she was the only one we could sit in the back room, but she can't reach us. After 15-20 minutes without even getting drinks, we decided to go on. Great food, big portions! If not, they'd be on a star. When is the service good? re at least one four stars, so I hope they will sort their personnel situation.

I visited these Marlins with my family yesterday morning, on Sunday 17. October. Our waitress was Lauren and she was so sweet. She was very busy and ran around, but she never missed a beat and never stopped smiling. We have asked a lot of questions because we have no marlins where we live, but Lauren answered any question we had without hesitation. She is very good at her job and Marlins is very happy to have such a knowledgeable positive employee. If we stop here again, we'll always ask for Lauren.

I understand that they were super busy, but the service was really missing, and the food was very moderate. Our meals were brought out before our soup and salad, and the waiting staff had the nerve to ask if we wanted them. No tea because 'someone is too busy to brew ', and a waitress who sniffed on another customer served it anyway. The soup was good, the salad was old, the potatoes were salty, but the chicken fried steak was as good as usual
