Avaliação da contribuiçãoHigh and consistent quality of food and service . We had two dogs with us who were treated like customers in their own right . All the staff were were attentive and friendly . The food was locally sourced , of high quality , well cooked delicious . This is our third or fourth visit and the Bull and it's staff have never let us down . I'd thoroughly recommend it .
Great service but expensive prawn salad not pricey for girls light lunch
Chose a beef Sunday lunch, a pork Sunday lunch and a child's pork Sunday lunch. When it arrived there was one Yorkshire pudding with the beef. When I asked where was ours I was told you only get a Yorkshire pudding with beef, but he would probably be able to get us one. As my child is a fussy eater this was essential. When he brought two Yorkshire puddings these were much smaller than my husbands. I asked for extra gravy. The food was barely warm. The gravy didn't taste of meat at all. Everything was bland and barely warm. The veg was mangetout and carrots. Would have preferred something more substantial but the veg was ok. Really disappointed with the whole experience after a lovely drive over there.
I Had the steak and ale pie with Jersey potatoes which I requested instead of chips. It was delightful and would really recommend it. It us a meal that I would always choose. I cannot wait to return soon for the same meal. Complements to the chef.
Sorry I have not visited the Bull for some years and sadly I was disappointed by this visit. Food was not great and very expensive. The staff were very attentive and helpful but the price of the food and menu was poor. I can see there is a move away from traditional pub food but the variations of traditional offerings left us disappointed. I have no issue with what we were given in terms of quality but the food was certainly not good value.
