"We had lunch at toca do caboz, sitting outside on the beautiful sidewalk adorned with a huge picture of one of ericeira's beaches. The atmosphere is very nice and the sun makes it even better. Though it can get cramped when full, it was not packed at lunch so it was quite pleasant. We turned down the original olives+butter+spreads they brought us that would have costed around 8 euros, shared a salad, shrimps with fries and fried calamari with rice. The food was decent but nothing extraordinary, especially taking into consideration that there is great seafood/fish around. The shrimps were tasty and plentiful, cooked in a sauce with ample amounts of quite strong coriander and garlic. The calamary was fried to death in my opinion, but my wife seemed to like it. The staff was very helpful, fluent in english and we paid around 35€ which is definitely not much. All in all it was a pleasant experience, yet the food was pedestrian and, given we had much better experiences in Portugal and in Ericeira, we left wanting a little bit more/better."
