It 's hard to put into words what a truly awful experience it was to have lunch here. Sarcasm with a touch of black humour seemed the best approach. We clearly had the same experience as many others; love Italy, love Sorrento, chanced by this place, called in by one of the sisters , fish was okay, table service was curt but can live with that. Then time to settle the bill. Surprised at how much, but along with that the total lack of, well human empathy, that we have enjoyed throughout our extended travels, dinning in Italy; completely normal when you pay up say grazie, often tip, and leave, smiling. Lack of empathy immediately turned to full on snarling aggression over the issue of payment by card not cash. Was happy to oblige but turns out the ATM nearby was not working. A Mexican stand-off type of staring contest for a few moments, then she slammed the EFTPOS unit around, thrust it at me, eyes blazing. I did the swipe and then asked please for the receipt as by now was highly suspicious. She just stood there glaring. I asked again please for the receipt. She ripped it off the unit, flapped it at me and then said get out get out get out . Hints that she was on the verge of acting out physically so as soon as I managed to take hold of the receipt got out pronto. The level of anger and aggression was high, it flared up rapidly and was completely unjustified. Such behaviour is completely unsuited to hospitality. It doesn 't just harm that establishment. It really harms Sorrento too. Suggest this place be avoided at all costs.

Such a rude person (presumably one of the sisters and after we finished a drink wouldn’t take a card payment from us and we had no cash on us despite everywhere else happy with this.

Terrible service which is unfortunate as they could make a killing as it’s the only place on the front that has sun on it late in the day. Would still be sat there making my way through the desert menu as the food was amazing. Spent my hour lunch listening to women scream at each other from the bar then come out and be rude. Table behind had also had enough with it. My party was served and waited 15 minutes for mine to come. I asked when my food would come I was aggressively told one momento!!!!! Another 10 mins later it was dumped infront of me. No oils or butter with hard stale bread, no finger bowl for seafood pasta. Then demanded we pay cash or go to the atm. Probably should let us know on arrival you don’t have card as a business.

What you see is what you get our leva sis was a good sister. A little fascinating, maybe, on his rotterdams, I'd say, but laugh, happy lunch, no bullshit, fancy prize. No, no flashing service you have to wait half an hour. Pronto, efficient and for your money. We only had a sister around.

I was last year in this restaurant with my family. eating is good, and the sisters are kind. wonderful panorama!
