Shrimp Max Of South Bend

I ordered the smelt dinner and it looked delicious when it arrived. The breading on the smelt was not too thick, which I appreciated as I don't like when there's more breading than fish. However, the downside was that the smelt was overcooked and too salty, resulting in them being dry and chewy. On a positive note, the fries were good and the small serving of coleslaw was my favorite part of the meal.

The restaurant may not have the best ambiance, but the food is both affordable and delicious.

I ordered the shrimp and coleslaw and it was absolutely delicious. I prefer lemon, cocktail, or tartar sauce with my shrimp, but I don't think they offer any here. The house sauce reminded me of Arby's, which I wasn't a fan of, but that's just personal preference. Despite that, the food was still fantastic.

Great service and the food was on point!!! We stumbled in after a day of fishing and felt welcomed even though it was late. Good amount of food for the price and the taste is amazing! We will definitely be back for some more catfish filets and shrimp.
