Schmidt's Pastry Cottage - South Jordan

I have always wanted to stop in and try this place. Absolutely worth it!! I got a cream cheese danish, a wedding cookie, flat Florentine and a peanut butter bar. The danish was the best I?ve ever had! Will be coming back!! Sorry the pastry box pictureisn?t a before, I was just to excited!

We went SPECIFICALLY to try donuts ONLY. We compared them to 5 other bakeries in the area. There was only one donut out of the 6 donuts we tried here that was worth mentioning the ?Bavarian? it had a nice thickened shell with a soft interior and greattasting cream. All other donuts were DEAD LAST in our comparison of yeast glazed, cake glazed, chocolate cake, and blueberry. They were not ?bad? per se, but not worth the trip or money when every other bakery sold better quality for the same cost.

This place serves only delicious pastries, which are for sale by the box load, or has a little snack in their Cafe. The cafe also serves sandwiches which are delicious! We serve these pastries at all of our weddings and family gatherings becauseeveryone loves them so much. Such an excellent excellent business. And also they provided their products to people in needduring the pandemic. Highly recommended!

A friend and I ate here for my birthday and she treated me to lunch. The chicken cordon blue sandwich was amazing. They serve good pickles and when I asked for a second one, upon placing the order, they did that. They provide a regular or mint browniewith the sandwich plate. I've also had their Reuben sandwich on prior visits and it is also good. They have really good breadand pastry pool products. I noticed a room to the side that looks like a room to plan wedding cake orders and even possiblyplanning event catering...but you'd need to double check if they do catering or not to know for sure.

Beautiful bakery! Their desserts and pastries were delicious! I love their eclaires! They also serve soup and sandwiches.
