Avaliação da contribuiçãoYesterday, I had to make a quick stop at this restaurant for coffee. I wish I had just kept going. The coffee was overpriced and terrible, with coffee grinds and greasy fingerprints all over the lid. Just the thought of it makes me shiver. I ended up throwing it in the trash.
My husband and I stopped by in the late morning on a Tuesday and were fortunate to snag the last table available. We were greeted warmly and found the staff to be very friendly. There was a wide variety of hot and cold food options to choose from. We ordered a pot of tea, I had a cheese scone, and my husband had a sausage sandwich. We both enjoyed the food and would definitely come back if we were in the area.
Wow! This place us totally recommended. Tge cakes are amazing, great value for money and super tasty. As a regular scone devourer, this place is well worth a visit.
Post lunch time visit I didn’t feel overly welcome. It should have ticked all the boxes, freshly made local, plus the fact that nearly all the pre time sandwiches had nearly gone bode well. Brown, Egg Mayo roll, £3.25, even though the more flamboyantly filled pre made one was only £2.99? How does that work? Dry bread minimal filling. I wouldn’t bother again. FYI, avoid the plethora of designer oil vinegar. A brief wobble of the bottles made the contents look like brown water, something not good for balsamic vinegar. The samples to try tasted like they were full of artificially added sugar.
We popped in on Saturday whilst our car was being serviced, not realising they did a full cooked breakfast and what a feast for just £5. Piping hot coffee too. The ladies behind the counter couldn't do enough for us, they were great. This place is lovely, quaint, and such a good find. A good chance to catch up with the papers too! We never felt rushed, took our time and felt very welcomed.
