The Park Ave Diner - South Plainfield

Chicken Continental is my Fave... I had this court owned by the Continental Restaurant for 20 years. I'm glad they kept it on the menu every year. The night ladder on Monday and Wednesday is friendly and very good. I can't wait to go back.

My 13 year old daughter and I tried this diner for the first time tonight. We live in town. Great food, great service, and we even were surprised at the presentation of the food, it looked picture perfect! We will definitely be back! I had the fish sandwich with a salad, my daughter had chicken fajitas and chicken noodle soup, and we split red velvet cake for dessert. Everything was delicious, including my cup of coffee!

My stomach starts to growl at the stroke of midnight. I quickly begin to panic. Most places in my American hometown where you can grab a feed have already closed. Thankfully, the food fairy godmother is on my side! The Park Avenue Diner in South Plainfield is open 24 hours and has been serving classic diner dishes since time immemorial. The full menu is available at anytime throughout the day. Guests can enjoy breakfast all day long but you seriously can't go past the Deluxe Bacon Hamburger served with fries. For afters, indulge your sweet tooth with their Belgian waffle with whipped cream, ice cream and maple syrup. In the interests of full disclosure, I haven't ingratiated myself with the proprietor so if you tell them Luke sent you, they might look at you as if you're from Mars! Check it out anyway. Well worth a visit. L
