Avaliação da contribuiçãoI have been buying Chinese take aways and chips from Happy Valley on and off for the last 10 years. I can’t fault the Chinese food, as this has always been to my and my family’s liking. It’s our go to Chinese, local and fairly priced. The chips however are a different story: We bought some a few months ago and they were hard and chewy, I mean hurt your teeth and gums hard and chewy! We put this down to it being late on in the evening and perhaps they were the last of the chips that had been left out. Roll on a few months later and my partner bought some this week to have for our tea. I’d forgotten about our previous experience, but we were soon reminded as we tucked into them! They were truly awful. For £2.70 for a small portion, it’s a rip off. I don’t know if it’s how they’re cooked, the potatoes, the oil they’re cooked in, or if they’re re cooked from the previous day? They really are bad and only fit for the bin. I don’t know how a potato can be cooked to such imperfection! I am never going to buy chips from here again. It’ll be John Dory from now on! It’s now left me wondering whether it’s worth changing to a different takeaway for our Chinese meals too. Perhaps? It’s a shame as the food here used to be so good. The staff have always been pleasant and I’ve no problem with the service. But those chips………
Lovely will return.. best Chinese by far . Friendly and tasty. This is now my local . Ordered happy valley sezuchuan with boiled rice and special chow mein . Tasty
Best chinese I've ever had at a great price. You can only pay cash though.
Good choice of Chinese food. Plenty of chippy food to go at too. Getting pricey though
Fresh, tasty Chinese dishes. Friendly staff, very reasonable prices, 5 star hygiene rating. First timers here and we're very pleased. Just as good as the old fulwood takeaway
