Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe were looking for a dog friendly pub where mine and my brother's family could eat out and take our dogs. Telephoned in advance and they were really friendly on the phone.Went to the pub and although it was obviously more of a locals pub it didn't have that uncomfortable feeling you sometimes get when strangers walk in. Ordered food, they even bought drinks to the table, great service. The food was good too, but for the decor, location, and type of pub I thought that the food was overpriced. Don't get me wrong though, I thoroughly enjoyed the mixed grill (my dog did too. No complaints on the food whatsoever, just the price.
Popped in for lunch on a wednesday. One of only two tables with people seated. Food was absolutely delicious. Home made and piping hot. Had the lasagne and the fish and chips, then the stick toffee pudding and cheesecake of the day. Great big portions. Wine and ale to drink. Ale seemed well cared for. Very reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Bit chilly but still warmer than outside.
Visited, for the first time, Friday 16th March rather busy, beautiful and warm and very homely great atmosphere. We were a party of four who all ordered different meals all of us were extremely impressed with the quality of our home made food. All served piping hot, beautifully presented and very generous portions. The service was second to none. All the staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. Good pricing, lovely and clean and we will definitely be going again very soon.
This was a flying visit and yes, we only had coffee so no food review today.
Visited as a party of 6 for Sunday Lunch on Sun 25th Feb at 2pm. It has been at least 20 years since I have been here and I drive past twice a day to and from work so decided a visit was long overdue. I love Brock the Collie Dog, it just makes it a more homely atmosphere with a dog there bringing u his toy and having some fuss.
