This is the 2nd time we have had a takeaway from Herbs and Spice. When you place your order the gentleman is always polite, helpful and friendly. We always request delivery. The menu is excellent, giving you advice on what's hot, what's spicy, and the prices. Always plenty of choice. I would certainly recommend this brilliant takeaway. The delivery driver is very nice.

I used to visit here after work all the time but no longer live in the area. I still visit every time i return to South Shields though. I’ve never found a decent curry shop anywhere in my new home town centre even though the street is full of them. Herbs and spices really are that good! I find the curry extra spicy compared with other takeaways but i like this. First timers might want to order a weaker curry than usual just incase.

Had a lovely takeaway tonight. Very tasty and good recommendations from the staff for me (as a picky veggie). Tasty rice, breads, and main. Give it a go!

With a wedding to get healthy for we decided on a final takeaway, thought we 'd end on a high but wish we 'd ordered from elsewhere. The onion bhaji 's were greasy rather than crisp there was no mint sauce provided. The curry itself was bland very 'watery ', needed to add salt. The mushroom bhaji bhuna prawn puree was just as tasteless as the rest. Doubt we 'll ever use again after this I expect to delay our diet for another week....
