Avaliação da contribuiçãoIt's been a few years since I had the chance to visit South Hampton. Le Chef has always been my go to restaurant and they did not fail to disappoint. I had the braised short ribs and they were super tender and off the bone they way ribs should be. The soup of the day which was broccoli was delicious too. My partner enjoyed their signature duck dish and tuna tacos. Glad they were able to make the tacos GF for us both to be able to eat. The service was good too. We bothsuffer from different food allergies (gluten, dairy, tree nuts, and raw eggs) and they were able to accommodate us which isn't easy.
Good service, good food. No frills, but definitely not a dive bar. Everything I've had here was great, especially the Mediterranean Pasta. Inquire about specials, or check the board outside! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My friend and I stopped by here on a Sunday night around 6:30 PM. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were allowed to choose where we wanted to sit. We decided to sit outside in the outdoor bar area. Service was attentive and efficient though it did lag a bit in the beginning because sometimes the server would come to help us with our order and sometimes the bartender would. However, after that everything else went smoothly. For dinner we ordered: FRENCH ONION SOUP: A nice soup with a good crust on the heavily cheesed top. The bread underneath possessed a nice fragrance and texture as well. The French onion soup's flavor was slightly too sweet side and a bit too watery but was still good. BEET SALAD: An interesting combination of goat cheese, beets, almonds, vinaigrette on top of a bed of lettuce but it worked. L'ESCARGOT: The snails were cooked perfectly and were drowning in butter. I wish it came with more than just one small dinner roll though since there was so much left over butter after eating the snails. MEDITERRANEAN SEAFOOD PASTA: Pasta flavor was great and went well with the seafood selection. Noodles were a bit too soft though and could have definitely been more Al dente. I was disappointed in the mussels, they were not cleaned well lots of sand still in it. JAMBALAYA: Flavor was great. A huge assortment of sausage, chicken and seafood. The dish was a bit too oily but still enjoyed it. However, again, the mussels were not cleaned well and had a lot of sand still in it. CREPES: Crepes were yummy. The crepes are absolutely stuffed with delicious vanilla ice cream and the berries and chocolate sauce really tie well together. All in all, though I enjoyed my hefty meal there are definitely points in most dishes that were not perfect. They also enjoy adding parsley to every dish which felt a bit unnecessary. Haha. However, if I am in the area again I would be interested in eating here again and trying out their other items!
