Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis is a great place. Everything is not only organic but also locally sourced, particularly the fresh stuff (meat, veggies, fruit). They respect the seasonal cycles so you'll only find fruit and vegetables that are in season. Juices are ultra tasty, obviously, as all are made with premium ingredients. Coffee is also very good and organic, I usually order espresso and it's good. Prices are high as it always is when you buy organic+local but it's worth it. Staff is always kind and helpful. Very happy to live a short 10-min walk from here!
I feel like my body thanks me every time I walk into Broad Bean. Will willingly walk 45 minutes to get an organic Almond Milk Latte and a Raw Dessert. It's the only place in Melbourne I feel 100% confident that what I'm eating is great for me.
I'm glad that Broad Bean is an organic grocery store and not a ice cream parlour or bakery because judging by its proximity to where I live and the number of times I come here because I'm too lazy to think of what to eat or drink would have resulted in me being an poster girl for obesity ages ago. So instead of ice cream and croissants, I'm stuffing my face with smoothies, raw desserts and salads. The obligatory hot soup and pies during the cold days are a no-brainer. If it's coffee that you're after, there's organic Allpress beans served here. But why drink coffee when you can get a smoothie with a shot of espresso? Double yum!
Small organic shop with a lot of really good vegan cakes and tasty. also vegan sandwiches and salads. sometimes busy during the lunchtime as many people from the offices prefer to get their smoothies and coffee here.
They even have the beyond fleshpatty, which, if it is not sold out, will be an exciting supplement to my basket! and I love that it will fill real baskets while shopping
