Best fish and chips in Southend. Fresh, not too much batter and decent chips. Guy in there is also friendly and looks like he’s always working hard to make his customers feel welcome

This is an excellent fish and chip shop. The portion sizes are generous and the quality is top-notch. The pies are delicious (I think they are homemade), the chips are traditional and lovely, and the service is speedy. Out of all the fish and chip shops in the area, this one is definitely the best.

Freshly fried Haddock... old oil and very old tasteless discolured tough fish. Did not have time to return but felt they knew it was sub-standard when they served and wrapped. Will not be going back.

I might regret this, but I have to rave about how delicious Bill's homemade fish cakes are. I'm sure they'll be gone quickly once all of you start trying them out. But that just means Bill will have to make more, a win-win situation for everyone.
