MaryFlor is located downtown Springfield. Our visit was late evening on a Thursday. We were greeted promptly and seated. Chips and salsa arrived while we were looking at the menu. Our food arrived hot. The plate was very large for the amount of food. A smaller plate would give a more impressive presentation as well as a garnish of lettuce. Our server was attentive. There was nothing about our experience that stood out. The food's flavors were average. The downtown's one-way streets were frustrating to us who are unfamiliar with this city.
They had Molcajete, one of my favorite Mexican dishes. It is very diabetic friendly, offering a streaming hot stone filled with meats and veggies.Service was pretty good, even without allowing for the fact that there was one server for the whole restaurant. The family that owns the restaurant is actually Guatemalan, not Mexican. I suspect if you asked nicely they might be able to stir up a Pepián for you. The giveaway was the quetzal on the front of the menu.Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of dishes that work fine without rice or tortillas. I recommend the Molcajete.

Tasty food at reasonable prices, decent portions as well. Service was a little slow, seemed as if there was only one waiter working, but he did the best he could in the situation.Kid-friendliness: Decent menu options for picky eater kids
