The cuisine is truly delectable and reminiscent of home-cooked meals, and the staff members are exceptionally amiable and welcoming.

Going on vacation to Louisiana and I am obsessed with Mexican food back home but had been previously disappointed by some restaraunts around, but this place had it all while also being a nice quiet environment you could enjoy, sweet servers and great food, only reason food is a 4 star is because I personally think the salsa tastes too sweet at the start and others at my table agreed but it was still very tasty.

This place is the best Mexican food and best service within 50 miles. Staff are friendly and even when there busy, I have had no problems with any order. We’ve made with the 15+ years we’ve been going to eat here!!!! I highly recommend trying, if you haven’t been yet…

El Mexicano in LaPlace is the best Mexican restaurant ever! This is about as authentic as it gets! I've been going there for so many years, I lost count! When I walk in, they know where I want to sit and what I'll have to eat and drink! It's family owned and they are the nicest people! I could eat there every day!

The 3 tacos came with nothing unlike the menu read. No sauce or napkins either. They weren't bad but the pico really needs flavor and cilantro. Some limes might have been good but the corn shell was wet on the downside. It was a short ride. Doesn't leave much for a second visits worth thought. Too bad too the menu was promising.
