Has missed this place in reviewing the dining places in our visit to the rocking our breakfast was a simple, though hot and tasty that we could have the most places on the island. The decoration was simple diner like. Why was it so special to us? Our entire meal was coming with a look at the boats and going through the picturesque narrows channel and that is a look we will never forget. Sometimes it is important to judge the decoration to look outside the box.
I have eaten here several times now and am never disappointed. Generous portions, exemplary service and a nice view of the Harbour narrows, who could ask for more? There is a wide variety of breakfast options including some unique ones, baked beans, fish cakes, toutons (pan fried bread dough and fish and brewis (salt fish, softened hard tack, onions and scrunchions (crispy fried pork fat . Their omelettes some of the best I have ever tasted. Most breakfasts come with hash browns and thick sliced home made toast. They even have Newfie Steak (bologna as an option for breakfast meat! If you are looking for a great breakfast at a reasonable price you gotta eat here .
A classic breakfast served quickly at a reasonable price. What more to like? Classic Cafe East is close to the Sheraton and the DoubleTree. The basic omelette was pretty big.
No gluten free toast for breakfast. Hash browns are not gluten free either. I asked to substitute fruit for hash browns and was told I would be charged.
