Captain Baxter - St Kilda

The renovated restaurant is a very nice place to be and both service food were very good. I felt that some of the dishes were a tad on the expensive side, mains more so than share plates. The menu is small so check it out carefully before to make sure it suits your whole party.

Great food, impeccable service, and the view was second to none. Busy during Saturday dinner but we’ll worth a visit

It would be nice- for those who have booked a table for lunch or dinner- to have a table reserved outside if they would like to continue on and have drinks !

I booked a farewell dinner for 3 people andctge service was outstanding from all staff. We requested to move to a table with a view and we were pleaseantly surprised when they told us they could move us after 20 mins. I was dining with an overseas guest from the US where service from wait staff is key so she was very impressed. I was really gratefull for the effort made by everyone their to make our night special especially Toby and the waitress from Pittsburgh (sorry l cant remember her name). Also my other friend ordered a matini and it took a long time to come to our table so they didnt charge us. Regards Frances

We enjoyed our evening very much. The waiters went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was very good, the view of the sunset over the ocean was outstanding. However, the noise from the bar made it almost impossible to hear a word of what the other one said and the same goes for the waiters. Everyone at the restaurant more or less shouted to each other, which just made the noise even worse. But, all together we had a great dinner and a good time.
