Red Rooster Stanthorpe

This restaurant is like any other fast food joint. However, being in Stanthorpe, it offers a friendly atmosphere with casual conversation, typically from local patrons.

The drive-through service was very busy but the wait time was not too long. The chicken was fresh and cooked perfectly.

Haven't been to a Red Rooster in years but we thought it would be an easy option for a take away dinner on the first night of our stay in Stanthorpe. It was terrible. The fried chicken was cold, overcooked, dry and hard as a rock and the quarter chicken was so greasy. The chips were cold and far to salty. We threw most of it away. A waste of money.

I ordered 2 goofed chocolate cakes as I always do and yet again got no spoon and the was no goo. It was all hard over cooked burnt dry cake.

11am. 2nd October 2019. Went in for lunch today. Ordered chips with my meal and they were old, cold, hard, shrivelled and looked awful. I didn't eat them. Ever since the (ex McDonalds 17 years) manager left Red Rooster Stanthorpe it's been run by children with no service or food quality dedication. Today I also ordered a Ripper Roll and it was dripping with white translucent liquid that looked like milk. And the Ripper Roll bread rolls from Stanthorpe are never fresh and enjoyable. They are always spongey and old. Another thing is the music is always turned up way too loud. It's done so the staff can feel they are in a music concert. For patrons its overbearing, too loud and the wrong kind of music for a family restaurant. Besides all this, the service has gone down too. And tables and floors are not always clean. I didn't use the toilets on site today but I am reliably informed that they are often dirty and not hygienic and sanatised. The store manager needs to be fired. Red Rooster Foods needs to take over the store from the new franchise owner who is just interested in profit. As a regular customer to this venue I have seen the food and service standards slip away. Unless things radically pick up in the next month then myself, family and friends will be giving Red Rooster Stanthorpe a BIG MISS. Fire the manager.
