Bruen's - Stanton

The coffee shop in slade was overrun with hikers. We set off to find a sit-down place in the area. Bruens didn't disappoint. The ham and bacon were like premium cuts. Good portions on the rest of the food. Friendly staff.

I would call this a dive. Not bad but like Dinners, Drive in and Dives TV show. Just some good food and good hospitality

The service was good. The waitresses were very friendly. I love the atmosphere. The hamburger was a little dry. The onion rings were very good. They were out of a few of the sides that I asked for so I just opted to go without another side and it was only 6:00 p.m. Parking: People were parking with their cars somewhat out in the street because of a lack of decent parking. There are a few spaces in the side that aren't marked.

Great place to eat! Reasonably priced and good portion size. Service was very good!

Appearances are deceiving. Good food, great prices and not a chain. Had the fish sandwich w/fries. Try the pies. chocolate tastes great.
