Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe food was the best I’ve had in years. The bolognese was extraordinary nostalgic In fact it brought me back to my childhood memories when my my grandmother made it for me as a young lady. The tiramisu washed all of my past troubles away.
After the way we were treated, we will never go to this overpriced and overrated restaurant again. I’m telling all people in my network to stay away. This place is not worth the money and they don’t know how to treat customers.
The meal was incredible. This is the calibur of food o expect when I spend this much money. The atmosphere was wonderful. Staff were knowledgeable and fun. Olivia knew her stuff and Justin knows how to open champagne. The big wheel turns and is silent. He nailed it! Food was so so so tasty and presentation was on par. Nom nom ?
Food was good, but was charged $50 for a no show from two people in our group. We let the front know before we sat that they were not able to make it. Ridiculous policy!
As a Penn State student many many decades ago, The Tavern was only a maybe someday place. I barely had enough money for a slice of pizza, let alone a table at The Tavern. In our return to the alma mater after many years, we put The Tavern on the list. It was well worth the wait. The atmosphere is highlight by art work featuring the history of Penn State as well as the State of Pennsylvania. For dinner, we had paella (mussels, clams, chorizo, chicken, shrimp, saffron tomato sofrito, Spanish rice, and toasted baguette), lemon thyme rainbow trout (brown butter thyme basted trout, sherry honey marble potatoes, and asparagus), and The Tavern prime rib (slow-roasted Black Angus primerib served with herbed demi-glace). All were delicious and satisfying. We couldn 't pass on dessert choosing berries and a brownie. We were happy to final visit and are taking great memories with us. Experiencing the history and great food and service was well worth the wait.
