Pros: excellent food nice service beautiful view of Lake Tahoe Cons: (or at least what you'd expect to be better for such a high price point dinner) tables/chairs were poorly designed. Like the base of the tables extend so far out to the big clumsy chairs you're incredibly far from the table to eat if you sit back, or you have to balance on the end of your seat. Getting in and out for bathroom was a mission, awkward with guests, etc. Shocking for such a nice restaurant. please don't use wine glasses for water, fine dining 101. Cringe. portion sizes for price point were incredibly small if you're an adult with an appetite. Overall, if you're looking for a very nice classy dinner, I would recommend going elsewhere with more modern sensibilities when it comes to dining for this point. Very old school. We wanted to love this place but were very disappointed. Reservation was at 7, we weren’t sat until 7:20. Took even longer for our waitress to come over and take our drink and appetizer order. She was nice but spoke so softly that we could barely understand her. The charcuterie plate was laughable and not a scrap of cheese was on the plate. I ordered the filet mignon and my friend ordered the steak duo, medium for me and medium rare for her. Her steak was under rare and mine was rare to medium rare. Highly disappointed when you’re paying over $60 for a plate of food that majority of it was inedible. And yes, we could’ve said something but at this point we had been at the restaurant almost two hours and didn’t have the time to deal with refiring our steaks. The stars are for the location and ambience only. We missed the sunset over the lake since we were sat later than planned and that was a huge bummer. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. Could not have been better! Nancy was the best server we could have had! She was knowledgeable and friendly. Her recommendations were spot on.
