Deacon Blues Bbq - Statesboro

Today was my first time at Deacon Blues, and it definitely won’t be my last. I just happened upon this place which is near my apartment, and I am so glad I stopped in. The pulled pork barbecue was some of the best I have ever had. The owner was very attentive and knowledgeable, the food was served quickly, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was great! I can’t wait to try the chili dog next time! I am really perplexed by the negative reviews of this place, but after reading them, it is very clear that these have to be fake reviews because they are absolutely absurd. I have already told my mom that she has to stop in and try this place, and I am going to bring my grandma as well.

I'm a big GS Eagle fan so I love the atmosphere in this place. TVs showing past Eagle games. And live also. BBQ is good with no fat. The steamed buns can't be beat on my chicken sandwich tonight. Old fashioned crinkle cut French fries are cooked just right. Would like to see a BBQ cheese stuffed potato. Great friendly staff. Drink prices best around. Give it a try.

I'm a very picky eater. This is by far one of the best places I've eaten in a while. The BBQ is amazing and the sauce is to die for. The staff is friendly and sweet. The owner is someone you can chat with like family or an old friend. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and fun all in one place.
