We were out and about and decided to go get food somewhere and go eat at the park since we hadn't been to Don Pedro's for many years we thought we'd give it a try. We went inside to order to avoid the long drive thru line. The menu is extensive with the standard tex-mex fare like nachos, tacos and burritos. The food prep area was a huge mess with cheese, vegetables and what not all over the counter and floor. The Nachos were outstanding but the tacos were just ok. I ordered an iced tea but it was soured so I had to pour it out and when I told the girls behind the counter they should probably dump it, wash the container and spout then replace the tea one girl just rolled her eyes the others just said oh. The girl who took our order was very friendly and super helpful however she was the only one, the others were dismissive bordering on rude. The parking is convenient and right onsite. Most of the dining area had clean tables and both restrooms were very clean.
Guacamole is fresh and delicious. Everyone's food was good.
Had the worst experience ever 2 burritos half the normal size , paid $2 for extra onions hardly any on them, wife had a tostada hardly any cheese had to put some on it at home, quality has steadily been going downhill, we live in Dixon I guess we will be going to Chipotle from now on!
Went in there approximately 115 on April 18 I asked what was good. They told me the nachos. I decided to try hardshell tacos. I got three of them which I was charged nine dollars for when I opened a bag up which I said I was going to eat there and I watch the gentleman put it on a plate and then threw it in a bag. I don’t know why, but when I opened up the aluminum foil, there was nothing in the shells one nibble and meat maybe two strange cheese and lettuce. I took all three tacos and made a half a taco and ate it. I gave the taco shells back to the lady at the counter and said you can have the shells that I paid for Because I figured they might need them if they’re running that low on inventory to feed their customers I hate to say it because I tried to support local businesses, but that is a scam. If that’s a type of food they’re giving their people they’re giving all loco merchants, a bad name from my understanding the same people on Arthur’s the one in Moline is awesome. The one here they kind of do the same thing barely give you food for your money. Like I said, I love to support local businesses, but but I guess we need the big boys in like Jersey Mike’s and I hate to say it even Taco Bell‘s better than what I just ate or paid to eat. I should say I didn’t get to eat it.
