Although we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the 18 Main yesterday, we were most disappointed with the way we were teated when paying. The waitress was lovely until our young guest from England paid the bill and did not realize that the service charge was NOT included. When he approached the waitress to add an amount to the bill for the gratuity, she was VERY RUDE to him and embarrassed him unnecessarily. It was an unfortunate incident to our trip to Stowe. Very unexpected and very unnecessary.

We visited stowe for the weekend and stopped after the nice reviews. eating was solid (mushroom suppe and brownie), but not exceptional.
