Avaliação da contribuiçãoWagyu is definitely all about the experience. You'll have people who will complain about having to cook their own food, but they fail to realise it's about having a unique dining experience and great customer service. I do know Wagyu is more expensive than most Japanese BBQ restaurants in places like Toronto, but it's up North in Sudbury of all places so I can deal with the price difference (which is pretty massive compared to some GTA places by the way.) The beef is absolutely amazing, though I'm not a fan of the chicken or pork (or much of the vegetables, I just prefer mine boiled not fried.). All the menu items that come to you prepared already (sushi, soup etc.) are good. I wish that area of the menu expanded a little more, but otherwise it's good. While I do wish that there were two sets of tongs per table to avoid cross contamination, it's also important to remember that this is no worse than how people cook in their own home. The staff do everything in their power to eliminate cross contamination before the food gets to you, after that it is up to you to be careful and cook properly, which let's be real we should all know how to do. Plus if you asked for a second pair of tongs, they would likely give you a set. I never do because I don't really care. Now, onto the customer service. 90% of the time it is amazing!! One bad experience soured it for me for awhile, but it was due to the person there being new and unaware, so I was able to get over it. Things are fine now and I truly believe they learned from their mistake! I do wish they had more space though, otherwise it's good. The service is frequent and quick, something I really appreciate. If you're not a big meat eater, or you are a particularly picky Vegitarian or Vegan or someone who has dietary restrictions, there's only one element per table so this probably isn't the place for you especially if you're going with people who do eat meat. Wagyu is constantly moving forward, expanding their menu (the last time we went they had added chicken wings and Sparkling Sake) and trying to please their customers. Overall, definitely check out Wagyu at least once!
Was here last feb for my hudband's birthday... We asked for soy sauce for sushi...The waiter brought ridiculous taste of sauce... which is not soy sauce..My husband and I, we are both Asian(Korean) we know how soy sauce taste like. We use it all the time !!!!!!!Even one of their meat was marinated with Chinese sauce........this is not close to Japanese food.If you want to ruin your dinner, go headI would never go back
First, this is a BBQ restaurants......and yes cooking on a real table gas grill......been to Korean BBQ's....... so expect similar but different marinade and seasonning......not a bad selection of meats.....no complaints on the quality.....I was satisfied with their Wagyu rolls......not a sushi guy so won't coment on it.....what is great about these places is you choose what you want on an order sheet......5 minutes later, they all show up ready for the grill......and all you can eat.....they are quick to pick up dirty dishes and are very attentive.....decor is basic but I'm sure with time they will continue to add to the place....i'm a firm believer that if I don'the like something, I provide positive feedback to allow them to address it if they can fix right away or plan for the future.....I believe this is the only one in Sudbury.....i'll be back.....price, within what you should expect for this type.......equal and even less than in other cities i've been to....as I've said before...our taste buds are not all the same....oh, I liked sake #2...my Sapporo was cold.....give them a bit more time, they will increase to a 4.....
Left with a headache from the smoke, my eyes were burning and my clothes smell like smoke too. Sushi was under par and so was everything else. Overpriced and had to pay for a lunch that my daughter didn't eat.
My husband, 4 month old son and I went for lunch and had a pretty enjoyable time. The food and sauces were pretty tasty and the service was okay. The experience was pretty fun since we had never been to this type of restaurant. It would have been helpful to have a bit more guidance with ordering since we told them we'd never been. This would make a good spot for a leisurely dinner where you have lots of time to cook, chat and enjoy. Two complaints were that it was too smoky in there, especially for the baby, and when the ventilation was running, it was pretty loud. Also, they do not have a liquor licence, so that's a bit of a bummer. Overall a good experience.
