Amedeo's - Suffolk

Food was good however service was terrible. Multiple servers basically standing around but not really paying attention to the customer. The manager finally served the drinks. It seems the bartender pays more attention to the bar patrons than the dining patrons. Our server was very pleasant but was not able to do the job in a timely manner. I've been to Amedeo's several times and it's always hit or miss both for service and food. They don't seem to pay attention to details or consistency.

After reading the reviews i was excited to try this restaurantbut was sadly disappointed in the food quality and service. The food was bland and was not deserving of 25 dollars a plate. A couple behind us returned their food due to it being too salty and the wait was over an hour to be served three plates...

Went in at 6 this evening. The restaurant was not overly busy as there was some empty tables while we were there. Ordered our drinks while reviewing the menu. We got the meatballs and calamari as appetizers. Calamari was crispy and the meatballs were ok. Our friends split a Ceasar Salad and said it was good. The problem came with our entrees. It took quite a long time for them to come out( over 30 minutes). When they did each one of our dishes had problems. The marinara sauce was bland, as was the marsala sauce. They brought my husband the wrong dish from what he ordered and he said his scallops were just cooked enough to not be raw. He said you could tell they were rushing to get the dish out. Our friends scallops were very overcooked (the sear was a dark brown and they were rubbery). We had to ask for the pasta and vegetables that went with two of the dishes. Also had to keep asking for water. I truly had high hopes for this restaurant, but sadly for the amount our bill came to it was not satisfactory. This will be a one and done for us.

The food was extraordinary and our server was very attentive. We had to wait nearly 2 hours for our food. The restaurant was not crowded. The manager addressed our table a couple of times assuring us that our food was coming but empty promises.
