Huckleberry Cafe Sundsvall

A bit expensive, but otherwise very nice smoothies and frozen yoghurt.

Huckleberry is a cafe with freshly squeezed juices, a coffee bar, hot dishes and a concept of soft ice cream and sorbet, which means that the customer fills a cup with ice cream or sorbet from various ice cream taps, and then tops the cup with fresh fruit, sprinkles, nuts and different kinds of sweets. Today I visited Huckleberry again in the company of my wife, Huckleberry is a nice cafe for company. Paying around eighty kroner for a soft-serve ice cream with toppings would easily feel unaffordable, to say the least, at the local ice cream kiosk, but for some reason the experience and the added value are so great that it still becomes reasonable. The cup holds a larger amount of ice cream and accessories, and there is a great variety of toppings. Remarkably fresh fruit is available as an option to give the illusion of slightly healthier ice cream, although ice cream is still ice cream. The environment is pleasant with its dark decor, lighting and plants. The cafe invites you to take a break from shopping in Ikanohuset, and in addition to ice cream also offers light fresh lunches, fresh juices and coffee. It's been a few years since I last visited Huckleberry, it won't be quite as long before I return for an ice cream experience in good company.
