Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis sushi restaurant in Surrey is a solid choice! I enjoy coming here because they have aburi oshi on the menu. I ordered a large takeout order for my mom's birthday, which included prawn and yam tempura, shrimp lover's roll, full salmon sashimi, salmon aburi oshi, ebi mayo, California roll, BC roll, and dynamite roll. Overall, everything was really delicious! The service was quick and efficient. Although I didn't dine in, I know from past visits that the restaurant is spacious and quiet. The highlights were the perfectly fried prawn and yam tempura, the shrimp lover's roll packed with shrimp, and the fresh and thick sashimi. The California roll was generous in size and filled with imitation crab, while the dynamite roll was equally satisfying. On the downside, the salmon aburi oshi was a bit small and lacked a strong aburi flavor, although still tasty. The portion of ebi mayo was disappointingly small and didn't have much mayo flavor. The biggest letdown was the dry and tough salmon in the BC roll, making it difficult to enjoy.
I visited TenGOKU, a sushi restaurant, a couple of times a decade ago before it underwent a transformation. It wasn't great back then, but since the younger generation took over, the atmosphere, food quality, and service have all improved. During my most recent visit, I ordered a variety of dishes including Tako wasabi, appetizer tempura, assorted sashimi, nigiri sushi, uni nigiri, spider roll, lobster roll, oyster motoyaki, and seafood yakisoba. The food was fresh and well-made, with the exception of the somewhat undercooked oysters in the motoyaki. The restaurant is located near Guildford mall on 152nd Street and has its own parking lot. The interior is modern and spacious, with friendly service. While it may not be the best sushi restaurant in town, the improved quality of the food is worth a visit. I would recommend trying it, especially since they are now open until 12am on weekends. I would give it 3.5 stars.
The restaurant has recently undergone renovations and reopened this year. We decided to visit for dinner and were promptly seated with menus. After browsing the menu, we ordered a variety of dishes including a lobster roll, oyster motoyaki, udon with tempura, assorted sashimi, and scallop oshi. The food arrived quickly and the sashimi was fresh with a good presentation and portion size. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent. The renovated space is brighter, more modern, and inviting, with a service button at each table for easy server assistance. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the dining experience was overall positive.
This is the best Sushi place Ive ever visited Great service, amazing atmosphere. The food is unbelievable I love this food so much. The Salmon is the freshest ive ever tasted. The udon is so tasty when I leave my shirt is very dirty. So glad I found this place. I will recommend this to all my friends and family 100% if I could give more than 5 stars I would I really love the staff so kind and the best
Definitely a bit pricier than other sushi restaurants in the area. Despite this, I'm a fan of Tengoku's special rolls and liked their ambiance back then when I visited. I probably wouldn't order takeout again as I could get similar items for cheaper elsewhere, but will look forward to going back to Tengoku for the in-person dining experience once it's safer.
