Lamp Post Inn - Sussex

We love it in the Lampost! Sal and all the ladies and gentlemen who work there are amazing and the food is always homemade. Even though we only dive for the French onion soup and the fried Calamari, we are never disappointed. All their specialties are delicious and the service is always excellent. The bar is always good in stock, the staff friendly, polite and fast and the prices are quite reasonable for families.

I must say when we first came in, it seemed very dated and dark. It took an exceptionally long time to get our food order out. We actually wanted to go. But the waitress finally came by and apologized. She explained how they do things in one order. When the waitress sees that your drinks are served, she comes and takes your order. It took a long time to get our drinks, so the long wait for the food order. But as I said, she apologized for it. Not to mention her, she was the only waitress, and we could see clearly that she took care of everyone. No one's fault. And when the food was served, she stopped checking. And she was very kind. And I must say the food was definitely good. So when we finished, we were both satisfied. I'd go back there. So if you don't mind that it was dark and dated I was able to pass, it seemed clean), I recommend giving it a chance.

Very pleasant experience. Sunday specials menu includes homemade mushroom soup (a meal by itself), plus meal and dessert. Delicious food and much of it for a very respectable price. It wasn't there for a while, but still a great place to stop for a meal.

Amazing food. We had a rehearsal dinner here and it was very enjoyable. Great service, food was delicious, the room was also nice. Gave a more rough rustic feel from the outside, but the hall space was great.

Love the lamp post! Owner Sal s fantastic The bartenders, wait the staff, cooks everything super! We only have properties nearby and look forward to the Lamp Post every weekend! Everyone's so friendly, beer is cold. Always someone on the guitar.
